The Emmerdale star, who has been living the life of luxury in the Royals camp across the past three days, announced to the camp his upset at Danny leaving as the two sites re-merged.

After the group said goodbye to Danny, Adam turned to the Homes Under the Hammer star and said: "It should've been Martin! I don't understand why it was Danny!"

As Martin tried to laugh off the statement, Lisa shot Adam a disapproving look before he carried on.

He then said: "Why did you not go?"

Martin then quipped back: "Why did Martin not go? It was only because you were immune!"

Danny became the shock first camp mate to be eliminated from this year's I'm a Celebrity.

The controversial radio host, was left to stand off with Carol Voderman on the live segment as Ant and Dec revealed the results of the public vote.

In his exit interview, he blamed his laid back attitude as the reason he was the first to be given the boot from .

On why he chose to enter the competition, he said: "I'm winding down my television work and I always wanted to do this show."

He explained: "I told my agent 'the only thing I want to do was the best show on television' which was this."

"People must think I was being cavalier in there, but I love this show. I'm a massive fan of this programme."

However, it wasn't always plain sailing as he added: "The toilet was a revolting hole in the ground - and I went to a pub in the seventies!"

He then admitted: "I'm not surprised I was out first," and ended the interview by admitting he wanted Scarlett to win.
