Selena Gomez breaks three-month social media silence after emotional speech at American Music Awards
Singer tells fans she's 'finally fought the fight of not being enough'
SELENA Gomez posted on Instagram for the first time in almost three months today, telling her 103million followers: "I've finally fought the fight of 'not being enough'."
The US singer, 24, marked American Thanksgiving with a photograph of herself with a crowd of fans, writing: "I have a lot to be thankful for this year."
She continued: "My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I've finally fought the fight of not 'being enough'.
"I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU.
"By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless."
Selena returned to the spotlight last weekend at the American Music Awards after taking some time off from her pop career to focus on her mental health.
Accepting the award for favourite female pop/rock artist, the star delivered a moving speech, opening up about her recent troubles.
Selena teared up as she said: "I think it's safe to say that most of you know a lot of my life, whether I like it or not, and I had to stop, 'cause I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside.
"And I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down."

She then motioned to her heart as she continued: "I don't want to see your bodies on Instagram I want to see what's in here.
"I'm not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore.
"All that I can say from the bottom of my heart is that I'm so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to share what I love every single day with people that I love.
"And I have to say thank you so much to my fans because you guys are so damn loyal and I don't know what I did to deserve you.
"If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken."
