EastEnders’ Lee Carter pushed to breaking point by bully Oz as he threatens to get him sacked

The depressed telesales executive has been bullied at work by Oz and he's reached breaking point as his life spirals out of control

LEE Carter's troubles continued to grow in EastEnders on Friday as he snapped at work.

The former soldier lost his temper as bully Oz threatened to get him sacked from his telesales job after discovering he pulled a sickie the day before.

Oz did his best to enrage Lee by threatening to get him fired

"You weren't ill actually, were you? Callbacks can wait. I know it's all bull, I thought you needed this job," he said as he kept wheedling Lee until he snapped.

Lashing out, Lee pushed bully Oz away and squared up to him, before rushing off to the toilet to cool down.

Even when one of Oz's friends came to see if he was OK, Lee couldn't calm down and forced himself to go and apologise to Oz.

But even that was turned into an opportunity for humiliation as Oz mocked his apology.

But elsewhere in the episode, it became apparent Lee's lies and stealing had been getting the better of him as he replaced his mum's treasured bracelet and framed Alzhemier's sufferer Sylvie for the theft.

It comes after Whitney discovered husband Lee had been lying to her in EastEnders.

The barmaid worked out Lee had lied to her about being at work but in a heartbreaking twist was left devastated as she assumed he has been cheating on her.

Earlier on Thursday night's episode of the BBC soap it was revealed Lee pulled a sickie in order to escape the bullying he's been suffering at work, but instead of telling Whitney he hid in Patrick's shed for the day.

Found by Patrick having broken into his shed, Lee was sheepish but eventually opened up about his problems.

"I just needed a day to clear my head, you know," Lee told Patrick explaining why he hadn't told Whitney about his work stress.

But when Whitney decided to surprise Lee at work with a special lunch, she discovered that he hadn't been in and all her worries came to mind and she ended up sobbing on Lauren's shoulder.

"It's another woman, isn't it?" she wailed as Lauren told her she wouldn't know anything until she had confronted him.

But instead of doing that, Whitney got dressed up to the nines and cooked Lee's favourite meal in time for his arriving home from 'work'.

And once he walked through the door complaining of his sweaty commute, devastation dawned across her face as she realised her new husband had lied to her.

But with Lee convincing her he'd just been Christmas shopping, will he continue to get away with his lies or will they catch up with him?

Actor Danny-Boy Hatchard is set to leave the soap soon, but it's not been revealed how Lee will depart Walford.
