KIM Kardashian and Kanye West's never ending house renovations have been cited as another reason why the rapper suffered a 'psychotic break'.
A new report from claims that the pair ended up spending over £8 million on doing up the sprawling Hidden Hills estate - but they never spent a night there since buying it two years ago.
The "remodel process has been frustrating and a source of tension for both of them" according to the site.
Adding to things, Kim apparently complaining back in April that she had been lumbered with footing the bill for the never ending stream of renovations.
TMZ reports: "During the final taping of Khloe's talk show in April, Kim was grousing that they had sunk $8 million into their Hidden Hills remodel and it was all her money."
They add that they ended up spending £8 million on making the place perfect - or at least trying to.
They continue: "Our sources say the main reason they sunk so much into the $20 million (£16 million) estate ... Kanye couldn't make his mind up. He would order a change and when it was completed he'd take a look and tell contractors to rip it out and do it another way."
It's thought that the tension about the house - and the fact the couple have been living with their two children at Kris' house.
that they wanted their marital home to have "two-storey playroom, gigantic gym, basketball court, hair salon, full spa with facial and massage room, and a music studio for Kanye. There's even a FULL-SIZE movie theater with a Dolby sound system."
Back in September they were said to be "months away from moving in", although it's not clear what stage the house is at now.
Kanye is currently being treated for a ‘temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.’
Discussing his progress, an American source told the publication: “[Kanye] is starting to feel more like himself, and that he understands the importance of ‘resting and getting help.’
“They are taking it day by day. He understands that getting help at the hospital was necessary.”
Kanye’s medical emergency may save him millions of dollars, it has also been reported.
After cancelling all remaining tour dates six hours before being admitted to UCLA Medical Center, his insurance policy is expected to cover him for the $30million loss these shows will incur.
