Their film has already attracted much attention for the numerous steamy sex scenes.

The film follows on an ex-England rugby captain, played by Idris, who is fond of drugs and women and Gemma plays his estranged ex-wife, who he briefly reconciles with.

In the flick, Idris’s character Max Moore is struggling to cope as his life spirals out of control after he was caught having an affair with the nanny.

He is also finding it hard to deal with being out of spotlight following his sporting career.

Gemma Arterton and Idris Elba have steamy sex scene for new movie 100 Streets

Meanwhile, former Bond girl Gemma plays his scorned wife Emily who is trying to come to terms with her husband’s cheating ways and find new direction in her life after the split.

Idris, 44, spoke candidly about filming the intimate bedroom scenes, which happen after the pair have a brief moment of weakness and appear to reconcile.

He said: “Love scenes though are definitely challenging, Gemma is a pro and [director] Jim O’Hanlon gave us a skeleton set, so it just made it a lot easier to do. But it’s always difficult to do.”

Despite the hot sex scenes the film has reportedly bombed at the box office.

The London-based Brit flick took a measly £245 in its opening weekend following a nationwide release last Friday.

On an average cinema price of £10, that’s the equivalent of just 24 people through the door.
