The rapper has split her fans since entering the talent show, but has continued to soar through each round - only entering the bottom two for the first time last weekend.

However, the judges chose to keep her in the competition, sending Ryan Lawrie home instead.

Speaking to the , Honey - real name Anna Guildford - said: "Yeah, I've read all of that crap. And as I said, I’ve been involved in urban music all my life.

"I’m a producer and natural born performer, so for people to say to me that I’m raping black culture actually feels like it’s them discriminating.

"They've got a problem with a white person rapping. The people who’ve come out and insulted me are not exactly spokespeople for the black community. No one’s said, 'I’m speaking on behalf of the black community.' These people are just haters, they’re never going to get anywhere with preaching hate."

Branding the claims "ridiculous", Honey insisted she's baffled by the insults.

Meanwhile, the star opened up on her past bullying torment, claiming she was ridiculed for being Jewish.

She told the site: "When I was growing up people used to make fun of me, referring to me as a Jewish princess or talking to me about me looking Jewish, having a Jewish nose, you know. It’s quite insulting."

The star has put the negative comments aside and promised a "killer" performance this weekend.

Show boss Simon Cowell recently claimed the star would need a miracle to win, and addressing his comments, she added: "I don’t know anything about that,” before adding: “I am going to go out there and smash it. Fighting talk.”

Simon gave his views on who he thinks could win, telling the Xtra Factor hosts: “You have to make a call in the moment, and I think if we’re being honest with each other, watching the show last night, I can see a very very clear three or four people who’ve got a real shot.

“I don’t think Ryan would have gone any further. I think he’s done brilliant to go as far as he has… Whatever you do, you’re going to be unpopular, but the truth is, unless Honey performs a miracle, she’s not going to win this show.”

Asked why he didn’t think the rapper would win, he said: “I think that the frontrunners last night, they absolutely stepped up. I mean they were really, really good. So, I’m sure Twitter’s gone mental, but that happens.”
