X Factor’s Honey G promises a ‘killer’ live performance this weekend, despite Simon Cowell saying she ‘won’t win’
The controversial rapper admitted she hadn't heard about X Factor boss Simon's latest comments, where he claimed she needed a miracle to win
X FACTOR’S Honey G has promised a “killer” performance this weekend, despite Simon Cowell claiming she won’t win just days ago.
The boss of the talent show shocked fans on this week’s Xtra Factor when he said Honey – real name Anna Guildford – would need a “miracle” to win the show.
However, when asked about the music mogul’s comments at rehearsals today, the rapper admitted she hadn’t heard them – but she’d still go on and “smash it” this weekend.
She said: “I can’t wait to smash it Saturday, I’m going to kill it, vote Honey G. Take Honey G to the final.”
Asked about Simon’s comments, she replied: “I don’t know anything about that,” before adding: “I am going to go out there and smash it. Fighting talk.”
Stopping for photos in the car park with co-star Matt Terry, Honey threw her usual swearing poses, wearing a loose grey tracksuit and a cap.
Despite the dreary weather, she kept her sunglasses in place throughout.
And it comes after Simon gave his views on who he thinks could win, telling the Xtra Factor hosts: “You have to make a call in the moment, and I think if we’re being honest with each other, watching the show last night, I can see a very very clear three or four people who’ve got a real shot.
“I don’t think Ryan would have gone any further. I think he’s done brilliant to go as far as he has… Whatever you do, you’re going to be unpopular, but the truth is, unless Honey performs a miracle, she’s not going to win this show.”
Asked why he didn’t think the rapper would win, he said: “I think that the frontrunners last night, they absolutely stepped up. I mean they were really, really good. So, I’m sure Twitter’s gone mental, but that happens.”
Meanwhile judge Nicole Scherzinger became defensive when a fan called in to ask her if she was happy she could focus on her one remaining act, Matt Terry, after Ryan Lawrie was voted off.
Nicole responded: “That’s not nice. We just sent him home, and I hope he didn’t hear that. I would have loved it if all three of my acts were still in the competition.”
