Emmerdale SPOILER – Lawrence declares his love for Ronnie, but are they relationship material?

We’ve lost count of the number of times that Lawrence has knocked back Ronnie since the cheery builder came back into the Home Farm magnate’s life.
But as things go from bad to catastrophic for the head of the troubled White clan, he finally faces up to his true feelings.
“Lawrence is feeling rather deserted after the events of Bonfire Night,” says John Bowe, who plays him.
“Chrissie and Rebecca are fighting, and Lachlan is in terrible straits. He’s in need of someone he can turn to, and Ronnie is his solid friend who’s helped him so much in his former dark times.”
When Lawrence, for once, forgets himself and begs Ronnie to stay, he immediately regrets saying it so publicly.
Paranoid that the villagers are gossiping about him, Lawrence attempts to blame it on the booze. Unfortunately, Ronnie overhears him and is understandably hurt.
“Lawrence is mortified when he sees how much he’s upset Ronnie,” explains John. “Again, he’s made a mess of it.”
Thankfully, this time he not only gets to make amends, but he reveals something he probably should have said a long time ago.
In front of the whole café, he tells Ronnie that he loves him and immediately feels better for it. Joy of joys, could we have another Robron on our hands?
“The thing is: Ronnie and Lawrence are two very different men,” cautions John. “Lawrence has developed a class and wealth that Ronnie hasn’t.
“Though they trust each other, how this will translate into a relationship now, I’m really not sure…”
Meanwhile…
Will Robert free Lachlan?
Having witnessed Robert dive into the pitch-black quarry lake to retrieve Aaron’s engagement ring, it’s clear there’s not much he can’t do.
But when Rebecca threatens to blab to Aaron about their kiss unless he springs Lachlan from prison,
the bar is set pretty high, even for him.
When Lachlan arrives at court for his plea hearing, Rebecca starts a fire in the toilets as a diversion.
As an alarm sounds, what happens next is up to Robert – but as Chrissie tells Rebecca to choose which side she’s on, she does the dirty on Robert anyway and tells Aaron about the snog.
Is the engagement off already?
Jimmy caught with Bernice
Poor Jimmy is absolutely knackered, but when Bernice tries to come to her brother-in-law’s rescue by sending him on a spa break, it goes about as smoothly as everything else in Jimmy’s life.
After the hotel manager refuses to let Jimmy check in on his own, Bernice turns up pretending to be his wife. Jimmy is too exhausted to care either way, but when Nicola spots an email about her hubby’s arrangements, things get a whole lot more complicated.
As Nicola arrives at the spa, Bernice hides in a wardrobe in the nick of time – but will someone as naturally suspicious as Nicola guess something’s up?
