KYLIE Jenner suffered an awkward encounter with a security guard at her home after he failed to recognise her.

The reality TV star took to Snapchat to tell fans about the embarrassing incident as she was left waiting at the gates outside her mansion.

Kylie, 19, revealed she had driven her car up to the driveway of her house in California, but the guard on the gate did not let her in.

She explained that he did not know she was the owner of the house, and even asked her if she was a friend of Kylie Jenner.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said: "So I just pulled up to my gate and I was like you know normal routine - 'Hey it's Kylie Jenner...'

"[The security guard] you know waits for the gate to open and he was like 'Are you with Kylie Jenner?'...

"I was like, ‘Oh, no. It’s the Kylie Jenner."

Kylie did eventually make it into the house and posted an update from the sofa, adding: "I’m not saying, ‘Oh my God, guys. He didn’t know who the f**k I was. It’s crazy'...

She went on to wonder why the guard didn't recognise her, and admitted it could be down to her bleached blonde hair.

Kylie said: "Maybe it’s the hair. I don’t know. I’ve lived here all my life.”
