When are the Robot Wars celebrity Christmas specials, who’s presenting and which House Robots will be fighting?
ROBOT Wars will be back on our screens for this Christmas with two specials for the festive season.
The episodes will see some famous faces battling it out - but there's been no announcement yet on who will be in the celebrity lineup.
When are the Robot Wars Christmas specials on?
There will be two hour long episodes aired over Christmas this year. The first will be on Wednesday December 28 and the second on Thursday December 29 - both on BBC Two at 8pm.
Four celebrity teams will design their dream robot with the help of an experienced roboteer from the series.
Who is presenting?
Usual hosts Dara O'Briain and Angela Scanlon will be returning to present the Christmas specials.
Dara and Angela have presented the last two series of the revamped show and will be delighted to challenge the celebritiy teams as they take on each other and of course the dreaded House Robots.
Prior to taking her share of the hosting duties on Robot Wars, Angela had worked as a stand in presenter on The One Show as well as doing some behind the scenes presenting for The Voice UK.
She also appeared in a five episode BBC Three documentary series called Close Encounters, where she spent one-to-one time getting to know celebrities.
Comedian Dara O Briain is known for his hosting duties on Mock the Week as well as being the previous presenter of The Apprentice: You're Fired.
Who are the celebrity guests?
BBC have announced the first of their celebrity guests.
Radio One DJs Scott Mills and Chris Stark will be among the stars taking to the arena in Robot Wars: Battle of the Stars
The celebs will be teamed up with one of the experienceb Roboteers to create their own robot and tackle other opponents in the arena.
And it looks like Chris is ready for the challenge, as he has already started his fighting talk.
Which House robots will be fighting?
The celebrity teams' robots will do battle with each other in the arena while trying to avoid the lethal arena hazards.
Also standing in their way will be the terrifying House Robots.
Acting as obstacles to the competing robots, House Robots are permitted to attack robots if they wander into the Corner Patrol Zones at the corners of the arena, or if the competing robot has been immobilized.
The new House Robots that were introduced for the 2016 reboot were bigger and heavier than their predecessors with upgraded weaponry.
As it's Christmas, expect to see Sir Killalot sporting a seasonal jumper, Matilda and Shunt waving the mistletoe and Dead Metal singing carols when they all return to try to defeat their rivals.
Sir Killalot
A force to be reckoned with.
The head of the robot gang weighs 741kg, much heavier than the 520kg he was in the 90s.
The beast has a drill lance and a set of claws which can lift 300kd and crush with 2.5 tonnes of strength.
The mean machine can also whizz around the ring at 10mph.
Dead Metal
The cyborg weighs a whopping 343 kg.
With his rotating saw and crushing pincers, the beast keeps steady with a set of giant tyres.
Matilda
The leading lady.
She has some evil looking red LED eyes that definitely scare the competition.
She can travel at 14mph and lift 1.5tonnes too... she's not to be messed with!
Shunt
Shunt has tripled in size since the 90s.
He's 327kg and sports some giant tyres with a huge shovel.
And to terrify you even more, he has a titanium swinging axe to butcher his enemies.
