Phillip Schofield’s ‘self-pitying’ paedo brother jailed for forcing boy into sex acts as victim says he felt ‘trampled’
PHILLIP Schofield's paedo brother has today been jailed for sickening child sex offences as his victim revealed he felt "trampled on".
Timothy Schofield, 54, carried out a string of sexual offences - the most serious involving an alleged sex act with the boy.

The abuse spanned a three-year period, during which time the victim was a teenager.
Schofield was today jailed for 12 years at Bristol Crown Court. He will serve two-thirds of his sentence before being released.
The fiend, who showed no emotion as the jail term was handed down, will also sign the Sex Offenders Register and is barred from working with children and vulnerable adults for life.
The civilian police officer was previously convicted of causing a child to watch sexual activity and three of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

He was also found guilty of three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and two of sexual activity with a child after five hours deliberation.
In an emotional victim impact statement, the boy told how he was left "bitter" and "numb to life" by the abuse.
He said he felt like he was trapped in a loop of fear and anxiety that only ended when Schofield was arrested.
The victim also spoke of the "massive" impact the abuse had not only on him, but also his family and his relationship with his girlfriend.

He added: "I felt trampled on. I feel I became a person who didn’t expect a lot from people and how they treated me. Therefore I didn’t get a lot.
"I feel I have changed. I feel more blunt, more bitter. I feel numb to life. I know I should feel really happy or really sad but I don’t have the ability to connect with what’s happened.
"It feels he’s still hurting me and tormenting my future.”
Sentencing, Mrs Justice Cutts slammed Schofield for exploiting the boy's innocence for his own sexual gratification.
The judge added: "You thought only of yourself. Always of yourself.
"I have still not heard a word of genuine remorse from you. Only self pity.”
During a harrowing trial, Exeter Crown Court was told he carried out the abuse while working for Avon and Somerset Police as an IT technician.
Robin Shellard, prosecuting, said the boy's evidence showed the offending began when he was aged 13.
Schofield would ply the teen with drink then carry out sex acts on him and acted like a "jealous lover"; when he got a girlfriend.
In September 2021, Schofield had phoned his famous brother Phillip in an "extreme state of agitation" before driving to his home in London for dinner.
While the This Morning host was doing the washing up, his brother told him: "You are going to hate me for what I am about to say."
In his written evidence, Phillip added: "I said there was nothing he could say that would make me hate him."
The TV presenter said his brother told him he and the boy "had time together", including watching porn and "masturbating".
Phillip added: "I turned and said, 'What did you just say?' He said it was last year and we were alone together.
"Tim said it was just this once. I told him it should never happen again.
"He then started to tell me about (the victim's) body.
"I said, 'F***, stop'. I shouted at Tim that he had to stop. I didn't want to know any of the details but he made it sound like a one-off.
"I said, 'I don't want you to tell me anymore'. I said, 'You've got to stop, just never do it again. Regardless how that happened it must never happen again'."
The boy told jurors how he felt "emotionally blackmailed" and forced to go along with what was happening with Schofield.
He added: "I felt that emotionally there was no escape from what we had to do and I felt that there was a tremendous amount of pressure and expectation for me to fulfil what was being asked and wanted, and I felt that that was why I was feeling forced to participate."
But Schofield wept as he claimed he was left "on the verge" of taking his own life.
He admitted watching pornography and masturbating next to the boy, who he claimed was over 16 at the time, and said it was a "consensual thing".
Schofield denied performing sex acts on the teen and told jurors how he had been gay his "entire life".
Jurors were told he had searched for porn including "young boy teen sex".
In mitigation, Peter Binder said Schofield was a "broken man" following his arrest and has since been acting as a "mentor" in prison.
Phillip disowned his brother in a damning statement following the verdict.
He blasted: "My overwhelming concern is and has always been for the wellbeing of the victim and his family. I hope that their privacy will now be respected.
"If any crime had ever been confessed to me by my brother, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family.
"These are despicable crimes, and I welcome the guilty verdicts. As far as I am concerned, I no longer have a brother."
Schofield was last month dismissed by Avon and Somerset Police without notice following.
The misconduct hearing was fast-tracked in the wake of his conviction.
Senior Investigating Officer, Det Inp Keith Smith, said today: "The victim in this case has shown remarkable bravery in disclosing the horrific offences committed against them, and their support of the police investigation and court process has been invaluable.
"We hope their courage and determination will encourage other victims of sexual abuse to come forward and speak to the police, no matter how long ago the offences were committed.
"We want them to know they will be believed and respected, and we’ll always do our best to achieve justice for them.
“Although the offences Timothy Schofield committed were not connected to his employment, we know the fact he was a member of police staff will be of great concern to the public.
“It’s important to stress that before the allegations were made to the police in December 2021, there were no prior complaints or allegations made about this defendant, and his former colleagues have been horrified by the offences he’s now been convicted of.
“But, we want to be absolutely clear, we’re on a mission to root out all those who betray the standards and values we’re committed to uphold. The public must be able to trust police officers and staff, and protecting this bond of trust is our priority.
