Joey, 32, was seen heading to the Burj Al Arab to meet with officials, who gifted him an Esaad card to mark his “new home”.

The card provides holders with deals to save money across education, health, restaurants and entertainment, and is issued by the police.

Joey was gifted the card after moving to Dubai after a terrifying break-in at his Essex home earlier this year.

Looking smart in a white shirt and matching white trousers, Joey wore sunglasses on his head for the meeting.

He was all smiles as he laughed and joked with public figure Dr Mahmoud AlBurai as they relaxed round a table.

Joey also hopped into a car with a military police official, as well as posing for a photo with flowers he was gifted at the event.

“At the world’s most luxurious hotel Burj Al Arab I met up with the Dubai Government,” Joey penned under the snaps. “They told me Dubai is now my home.

“Thank you to Mahmoud Al Burai & Shahab Ahmed Alsaadi for everything you have put in place for me and Dubai police, Dubai tourism board, Dubai media for getting in touch and taking time to meet me and giving me the warmest welcome to their country.

“Happiness is the way forward. Inshallah.”

Friends and fans flooded the comments to wish Joey good luck in his new home and welcoming him to the Middle East.

Towie pal Liam Gatsby penned: “New beginnings’ brother. Wish you all the happiness and luck in the world.”

While Tommy Mallet wrote: “Be lucky brother.”

It comes after Joey was left an emotional wreck following the raid on his Essex mansion.

The Dancing on Ice star was left terrified after burglars struck, with the incident believed to have triggered a search for a move abroad.

We revealed in January last year how Joey was left “horrified and shaken” when raiders ransacked his £3million pad while he was out with friends.

He called police after returning in the early hours to find an upstairs window open.

Police confirmed they were investigating a break-in at the four-bed property in Essex.

The source went on: “The incident at his house made him think about his life and what he wants from it.”

Joey, who found fame on Towie in 2011, paid £1.6million for the pad in 2014 and he has repeatedly shown it off on social media.
