Stephanie Davis tested for colitis after fearing she would lose baby during terrifying six-day hospital emergency
The ex-soap actress and Big Brother star revealed that she was also tested for piles in a new interview about her horrifying ordeal
STEPHANIE Davis has revealed that she was tested for colitis and piles after fearing that she would lose her baby during a terrifying six-day hospital dash.
The 23-year-old opened up in a new interview about the horrifying ordeal that saw her "knocked out" because she was in such excruciating pain.
She added: "I was tested for piles but that came back negative. They think it might be colitis [infection of the colon], so I'm having more tests and a colonoscopy done soon. Hopefully that will give me some more clues."
Steph also claimed that doctors were worried that she may have needed a blood transfusion because she had lost so much blood. The young star had suffered from vomiting, dizziness and rectal bleeding before her mum rushed her to hospital.
She said: "The hospital put me on a painkiller drip and the bleeding eventually stopped, but I had to stay in hospital for six days because my blood pressure was low, so they wanted to keep an eye on the baby."
The actress' reps revealed that the star was admitted to hospital on November 2 and said that she was "undergoing tests".
Steph opened up about the ordeal in her earlier this month.
She revealed: "I just wanted to be knocked out. I just didn’t know what was going on – whether it was me or the baby.
“I was seeing black dots, going dizzy, being sick and scarily, passing blood. I also lost some water so me and my mum were worried my waters had broke but we soon realised it wasn’t that.”
The ex-Hollyoaks star, who claims her Celebrity Big Brother ex Jeremy McConnell is the father to her unborn child, has endured a rollercoaster first pregnancy.
In August, she told ITV’s Loose Women about another medical emergency which saw another trip to hospital when she believed she was having contractions.
She added: "I've been much more careful and trying to stay as stress-free as possible. But as soon as I found out my son was okay I felt much better. We know for sure he's a true fighter now!"
Straight after she was released from hospital she was eager to let fans know she was OK.
She took to Twitter to write: “Hi everyone just wanted to let you all know I’m finally home and on the mend.
“Thank you so much for all your lovely messages and continued support over the last week. It really means a lot.
“Love always Stephanie and Bump xxx”
