The Born To Run hitmaker was spotted beaming alongside the Fairytale of New York icon ahead of his three RDS sold-out gigs, which kick off this weekend.

And the long-term love of Tipperary rocker Shane spoke of her excitement at checking out Bruce in action tomorrow.

A star-struck Victoria explained: “It was really really exciting and monumentally inspiring to spend time with @springsteen yesterday.

“He radiates a very very beautiful energy, he is like an embodied angel!

“It’s great to see that someone can find work that they are lit up with and that they can spend their whole life lifting people's spirits through their work and stay so enthusiastic and energetic and full of gratitude and grace and appreciation for the work and for everything and everyone in their life.

“I am quite sure that Bruce has not had an easy life and he works incredibly hard at his craft and he has to spend a great deal of time travelling but he’s full of joy and he is gracious and kind and compassionate and thoughtful and sincere and funny and playful and he loves with all of his heart so I am in awe!

“I wish that I could be even a little bit like that!!

“It is also wonderful to see that a person can be extremely successful in his field and still massively generous in his administration for other musicians and writers.

“Extreme kudos and gratitude for the visit to me and @shanemacgowanofficial ! Really looking forward to the gig!”
Shane and Victoria’sclose friends, Mullingar musicians Jonathon and Michael Cronin, were also lucky enough to be granted an audience with the 73-year-old US rocker.

And they even gifted Bruce an early version of MacGowan’s new album which they’ve been working together on in recent years.

The band explained: “Amazing few hours yesterday at @shanemacgowanofficial @victoriamaryclarke with @springsteen.
“Great chats about songwriting, children, health, diet, Irish writers, loving statues, his Irish roots, @croninjohnny gave him some #dogtags and told him about @joe_dolan_show_mullingar covering brilliant “disguise and @jarvisbransoncocker doing state trooper that he never knew.

“I gave him some of the rough mixes from the Shane album we’ve been working on.

“A gentleman, a legend and taught us a lot. Looking forward to the gig tomorrow.”

On Wednesday, star-struck Victoria shared a picture of the encounter on Twitter to the delight of the Pogues’ legions of fans.

In a message attached to the post, Clarke described Springsteen as a “total genius”.

“What an amazing honour and a beautiful experience to get a visit from The Boss!!! @springsteen @ShaneMacGowan.

She wrote: “Such a truly wonderful man and a total genius."
