Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell steals the show with gorgeous gold gown but viewers are divided over Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman

STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell stole the show tonight in a statement gold gown, receiving huge praise from viewers.

But stunning hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman split fans, as they opted for opposite outfits to present the show.

Darcey stepped out with fellow judges Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli, receiving huge applause from the crowd as she posed up a storm by the dance floor.

Showing off her slim figure, the confident star chose a black and gold printed number, wearing her hair tied back and towering in heels.

Meanwhile, Tess chose a bright red off-the-shoulder dress, looking effortlessly elegant with her hair loose and curly - but fans weren't so sure, as she failed to match Darcey's glamour.

And joining her was Claudia, who chose a darker navy high-necked gown for the show, with many fans claiming she was overshadowed tonight.

Congratulating Darcey, one fan wrote: "Help a girl out who needs Darcey's dress in her life! Where can I find it please?

While another added: "Darcey's dress is beautiful."

But poor Tess and Claudia didn't come off quite so lightly, as one fan tweeted: "Dear Darcey please five Bad-dress Tess some style tips. Thanks."

And another added: "Not the most flattering dress for Claudia."

But many more were full of praise, as one wrote: "Love the dress Claudia."

And another added: "Love love love Claudia's dress tonight."

It comes days after the stunning judge opened up about her near-death experience during child birth.

The former prima ballerina welcomed daughter Phoebe in 2001 with husband Angus Forbes, but the happy moment was marred by Darcey’s health woes during the birth.

The 47-year-old Strictly judge told Event magazine: “Towards the end of my pregnancy with my daughter Phoebe, I had pre-eclampsia and had to have her delivered very early by C-section.

“My blood pressure soared and my blood wouldn’t clot.

“I had fluid on my heart and lungs and it looked like I was going into a coma. It was a very close call.”

Thankfully Darcey came through the birth safely, and went on to her second daughter Zoe three years later.
