Love Island’s Samie Elishi breaks silence after Tom Clare split and hits back at cruel comments from fans

LOVE Island’s Samie Elishi has broken her silence after her shock split from Tom Clare.

We revealed this week that the finalists have gone their separate ways less than two months after leaving the villa.

Tom was the first to speak out on social media, telling fans he was “gutted”.

Now Samie has spoken out, writing on Instagram: “Really didn’t want to have to write an Instagram story on this but the comments and messages I have been getting since Tom posted his story yesterday is just not fair.

“I will be speaking about everything soon but at the moment the time isn’t right (which I will also explain). 

“Thank you for the kind messages, they don’t go unnoticed.”

We reported how Samie felt their long-distance relationship was one-sided and so called it quits.

Samie – who is based in London – put head over heart and called time on their romance after a number of trips north to visit her footballer beau.

A source told The Sun: “She was tired of making all the effort in the relationship – she’d visit him a lot but he wasn’t coming down to see her as much.

“If it was this hard early on – what would it be like in a year?”

The beauty, who worked as an estate agent before finding fame, entered Love Island midway through the winter 2023 series as a late bombshell.

She instantly turned original islander Tom’s head having fought off competition from fellow bombshells Ellie Spence and Zara Lackenby Brown.

Before entering the telly villa, Samie, 22, told producers: “I’m a really honest person and I have no filter.

“I won’t take rubbish from anyone, especially when it comes to guys!”

Tom and Samie placed third on the hit-ITV dating programme behind winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan and runners-up Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.

Non-league footballer Tom, 23, took time out from Macclesfield to take part in the show.

And manager Robbie Savage allowed him to return to the club last month.

Tom admitted he was shocked his new romance had come to an end, but said it was amicable with Samie.

He told fans: “Didn’t think I’d be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways.

“We are still on good terms and I have nothing but love and respect for her.

“I’m gutted it’s come to an end but I truly wish Samie the best.”
