Beloved Strictly judge Len Goodman had bone cancer and was believed to be in a hospice in Tunbridge Wells, , at the time of his death.
He was 78 years old.
Bone cancer is a rare form of the disease, with around 550 new cases diagnosed each year, according to the NHS.
It usually affects the bones of the legs or upper arms.

There is not a known cause in most cases, but radiation exposure Paget's disease, and some genetic conditions can increase the risk.
Symptoms include persistent bone pain, swelling and weak bones that fracture easily.
The two most common types of the cancer, osteosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma, tend to affect people under the age of 20.
However, a third type, chondrosarcoma, is usually found in adults over 40.

It can be treated by chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery to remove and then reconstruct the affected bone.
What was Len Goodman's cause of death?
Len's cause of death was not officially revealed, though it is believed to be connected to his cancer.
His agent Jackie Gill said in a statement: "It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78.
"A much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him."
Len had previously suffered from prostate cancer and also had a cancerous mole removed from his forehead in 2020.
When did Len Goodman die?
Len passed away on April 22, 2023, just days before his 79th birthday on April 25.
He was only six months into his retirement after departing his role on Dancing With The Stars in 2022.
Tributes have now flooded in for Len following the heartbreaking news of his death.
Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood said: "I've just woken up to the sad news that my gorgeous colleague and dear friend Len Goodman has passed away.
"My heart and love go out to his lovely Sue and family.
"Len Goody Goodman is what I always called him and 'It's a ten from Len & seveeeeern' will live with me forever. RIP Len".
TV presenter Susanna Reid said: "Oh this is such an awful shock and so sad.
"Len was an absolute legend & the definition of a proper gent.
"He was a beautiful man with a huge sense of humour who had such a mischievous turn of phrase.
"I'll never forget 'all bounce, bum & bongos'. My love to his family."
