Towie’s James Argent admits disappointment at huge weight gain as he vows to slim down

HE’S made no secret of his struggle with his weight but James Argent has vowed to shred his extra pounds for the final time.

Posting a picture of himself in a gym following a workout, the reality star admitted he was devastated he'd gained weight again after managing to lose over three stone earlier this year.

Next to the picture James told his fans: “Training camp starts today!

“Gutted at how unfit I am but I'll get there & maintain it this time!”

In June, the Towie star revealed he’d gone from 19st 1lb, to 16st during an intense stay at the No1 Boot Camp’s weight loss retreats in Norfolk and Ibiza.

He told The Sun Online: “I am not going to lie – it has been incredibly tough and, yes, I have had the odd lapse.

“But I am thrilled to have lost three-stone and I do genuinely feel like a new man.”

He decided to book himself into the military style program after his weight started to near 20st.

“I always know that I am trouble when my weight pushes to near 20 stone.

That really is the wake-up call I need to sort myself out.”

This isn’t the first time 28-year-old yo-yo dieter Arg has slipped out of his healthy eating routing - with the star gaining and losing four stone in 2015.

He claims his problem is his sweet tooth, with Arg saying: “My trouble is, I just love my treats and chocolate and sometimes I don’t know when to stop.”

Arg has just came back from an indulgent holiday in Dubai with friends – including Towie stars Chris Clark and Dan Edgar.

He also met up with Ferne McCann and Billie Faiers who were holidaying there and Dan Osborne and Jacqueline Jossa – who spent their break soaking up some winter sun.
