The redheaded duo, Ron’s older brothers, appeared in all eight of the wizard movies.

The Birmingham duo were just 14 when they auditioned for the roles of Fred and George Weasley mainly, Oliver has said, “to get a day off school.”

Both dark-haired, they were offered the roles on the condition that they spent the next ten years with dyed red hair.

Now, James has revealed the reason why he is running the London marathon.

In a recent appearance on Sky News, the actor shared that he wanted to raise funds for Endometriosis UK and to increase awareness of the condition.

James became aware of the disease when his wife began to suffer with it.

He told the viewers: "I learnt that only 68% of men know anything about it. It takes 8 years for a diagnosis and I just really want to help raise money for Endometriosis UK because they help support people who are going through this, but also just raise awareness."

The former child actor explained that not enough people know about the condition, especially men and that he wants to shed more light on it.

"It used to be one of those things, it's just lady's problems, whereas there needs to be more knowledge about it for men, and more help can be given," James said.

He continued: "The reasons why I'm doing the London Marathon is because during Lockdown like most people I did a lot of running and I did a half marathon just on my own and I literally couldn't even walk, I couldn't even get up the stairs."

The brothers were asked what they would say to author JK Rowling after five years away from the movies.

James - whose character Fred was killed off in Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows - joked: "Why me?"
