I’m A Celebrity’s Larry Lamb opens up on secret daughter he hasn’t seen for 46 years in emotional chat

I'M A Celebrity star Larry Lamb opened up on the secret daughter he hasn't seen for 46 years tonight - admitting he thinks about her "a lot".

The ex EastEnders star had a little girl named Vanessa with his first wife Anita, but he only ever met her once.

Larry, now 69, became a dad after marrying Anita when he was just 21.

They met while he was working abroad in Germany and they walked down the aisle in London following a whirlwind romance.

She fell pregnant and Larry later admitted he felt marrying her was “the right thing to do”.

However, the marriage crumbled and she moved back to Germany without him.

Addressing his long-lost daughter on the show tonight, Larry said: "I do think about her a lot."

It came as Adam Thomas asked him about his son George, to which Larry said: "I live in London so I see them all the time and see him all the time. We have a great time."

Adam then asked if he was a granddad, to which Larry replied: "I might be a granddad. I've got a long lost daughter, so I might be."

He explained: "I always wanted to [know her], but me and her mum broke up, and then she was adopted by her mum's new husband, so I never had anything to do with her."

Larry went on: "And I can't just go bouncing back into someone's life."

Asked if he knew where or how she was, Larry admitted: "I have no idea where she is, but I do think about her a lot."

Revealing his regret at his decision, at such a young age, he told Adam: "I was such a baby, I was 21 when I had her, just a kid. And I knew absolutely nothing. But now years later, I think 'Oh my god - all that part of your life that you've missed out on."

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph later, Larry added: "That’s the sort of thing when comes out when you're stuck together in strange situation... You recount stories about life and you're family, because that's what you've got in common."

Larry has not seen Vanessa in 46 years and only met her once, when she was seven months old.

A source told The Mirror: “Larry only ever saw his daughter once and has never taken responsibility for her. It is very sad.”

Larry has previously revealed that he lost touch with his daughter after Anita became involved with a new partner.

He explained: "Of all the things in the world I didn’t want, I certainly didn’t want to be married. But it seemed the right thing to do...

"Anita remarried when Vanessa was three. So I wasn’t included because she had a stepdad. I don’t even know if she knows I’m her father...

"It’s not for me to go delving into her life. But the thought that she might have already made me a grandfather has often crossed my mind...

"Her birthday is so close to mine that every year I think, ‘She’s another year older.’ It’s just one of those sadnesses."
