SURPRISE ARRIVALS

I’m A Celebrity newcomers Danny Baker and Martin Roberts make surprise entrance into jungle – before LIVE Bushtucker Trial bombshell

THE I’m A Celebrity campmates couldn’t hide their shock as surprise new contenders Danny Baker and Martin Roberts entered the jungle camp tonight – only to be hit with a huge bombshell.

Veteran broadcaster Danny, 59, joined 53-year-old Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin as the latecomers for the latest series of the show.

And within minutes of entering camp, the pair were told they’d have to face a Bushtucker Trial in tomorrow night’s show.

Choosing a partner each, Danny picked out Carol Vorderman, while Martin chose Sam Quek for trial Rank Tanks.

And not done there, Ant and Dec later revealed more celebs would have to face a LIVE trial in tomorrow night’s show.

Speaking before his big reveal, Danny admitted his main bugbear would be “toilet humour” in camp.

While he admitted that he wants to be the “entertaining” one in camp, he admitted that he won’t be looking forward to other campmates’ crude behaviour.

He said: “I hate it when people talk about going to the toilet. I find it toe-curlingly juvenile. I am pretty intolerant of that childish babble.”

Danny also revealed that he decided to do the show because he is thinking about moving to America and wants to do one final British TV show.

He said: “I have been doing telly now for 40 years, I am 60 next year and I’ve got no ambition leg to be on telly anymore.

“Next Summer, I am even thinking about living in America. So when this came around, rather than disappearing quietly, I thought ‘why not do one last big television programme?’ and why wouldn’t you do this show, it’s great.”

Meanwhile Martin recently revealed that he’s had a hair transplant before entering the jungle as he was going bald on top and starting to look like a “monk.”

“I didn’t like the idea of going bald,” he told The Mirror.

“I was developing a classic ‘you look like a monk’ sort of thing. I was really embarrassed about it at first and didn’t tell anybody.

“But I thought ‘why, why?’ I think a lot of men have it and don’t tell anyone.”
