Stephanie Davis reveals she almost needed a blood transfusion after terrifying pregnancy scare on Loose Women
Steph's fans thought she had gone into labour last week
STEPHANIE Davis revealed she almost had to have a blood transfusion after losing so much blood during a health scare last week.
Speaking on Loose Women, Stephanie, 23, who is 31 weeks pregnant, opened up about the terrifying ordeal that left her in "excruciating" pain.
Opening up about the ordeal, she told the Loose Women panellists that she was "having a nice girlie night in with my mum" when she started "getting really bad pains at 4am".
She continued: "I was panicking, it was that bad that I started vomiting, I started seeing black dots.
"I was in so much pain and...thhen my mum came to the toilet with me and obviously I was in so much pain that I wasn’t sure what was going on and then when it got to the top of the pain, I felt a release.
"And I was like, 'Oh mum, what's that? I feel better now!' And she looked just to make sure everything was OK and she saw loads of blood come out. So she started panicking ... It was from the back passage."
When she arrived at the hospital doctors rushed her to the maternity ward as a precaution.
"They took me straight up to the delivery ward because the blood was coming out and the pain was that bad I was vomiting, everything was pushing down there so water came out.
"I lost so much blood they thought I'd need a blood transfusion.
"Everything was showing something was wrong but they think I've got Colitis.
"I'm booked in to have a camera 'that way' and I've to have more tests".
The ex Hollyoaks star, who claims her Celebrity Big Brother ex Jeremy McConnell is the father to her unborn child, has endured a rollercoaster first pregnancy.
In August, she told ITV’s Loose Women about another medical emergency which saw another trip to hospital when she believed she was having contractions.
Then, earlier this month, Stephanie was rushed to hospital after suffering “excruciating” pain.
In her , Steph wrote: “I just wanted to be knocked out. I just didn’t know what was going on – whether it was me or the baby.
“I was seeing black dots, going dizzy, being sick and scarily, passing blood.
“I also lost some water so me and my mum were worried my waters had broken but we soon realised it wasn’t that.”
Stephanie is still not completely back to health and has revealed doctors are still running tests.
She added: “The baby was totally fine and I'm feeling much better now.
“I couldn't have all the tests they needed because I'm pregnant but after a week in the hospital I was happy to get home and rest.”
“I've been much more careful and trying to stay as stress-free as possible. But as soon as I found out my son was okay I felt much better. We know for sure he's a true fighter now!”
The reality star arrived at the hotel on Friday night to make sure everything was ready for her and her unborn baby’s big day.
And she seemed happy as she posted a photo to her Instagram of a delicious-looking tray of chocolate-covered strawberries and what looked like mini brownies.
She wrote: “The hotel are cute. So excited. The place is looking amazing for tomorrow! Super proud.”
