Lady C opens up about her romance with I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’s Larry Lamb on Loose Women

LADY Colin Campbell opened up about her romance with I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’s Larry Lamb on Loose Women today.

The pair dated in the 70s and Lady C said she split from the EastEnders star when things started to get serious between the couple.

Speaking to her co-panellists Coleen Nolan, Nadia Sawalha and Linda Robson, she said: “Larry and I had a teency weeny romance.”

Sharing a picture of them in their 20s on the screen, she said: “That was about 1978. He is gorgeous isn’t he?

“I can’t sing his praises highly enough.”

Linda then cut in and said: “You lucky cow!”

The other Loose Women were more than curious about their romance and couldn’t resist asking what he was like in the bedroom.

Every a lady, she just said: “Larry is a superb all rounder.”

Nadia then asked how they me and Lady C explained: “We met at the opening of the Ritz casino and he saw me across the room … As soon as I caught his eye, he caught mine more accurately, he came over and didn’t let go.”

They then quizzed if she “went home” with him on the night they first met and Lady C insisted she didn’t.

She said: “I believe in making a man wait.”

However, Lady C was leaving for Jamaica the next day and he came to collect her the next morning.

She said: “He came and picked me up and took me to the airport and when I came back there was a good sign because it meant he was invested.

“Larry is lovely and he’s very intelligent and very focused so any way I came back from Jamaica we went to dinner. We dated for about six months.”

Although she was enjoying the passionate romance, Lady C decided to call time on their relationship shortly afterwards because she realised Larry wanted to get married.

She said: “I realised Larry wanted to get married and you know what men are like when they want to get married,  they want to get married. I realised that wonderful as Larry was, I didn’t think we were going to make it in the long haul.”

But the pair have remained friends and the former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ star – who took part in the show last year – even dished out a few tips to the 69-year-old actor ahead of his current stint in the jungle, although he failed to reply to her email and text message.

She explained: “I converted him – and he was a willing convert – into a great, great, friend. And we were great, great, friends for years after.”
