What time is Walliams & Friend on BBC1 tonight, who is Meera Syal and what’s is all about?
AFTER entertaining six million viewers last Christmas with a one off special, David Walliams and Friend has returned to our screens.
Boasting an all-star cast and a Friday night TV slot, we have all the info you need about the show.
What is Walliams and Friend?
Each week Walliams performs a medley of sketches with one other famous face (plus supporting cast) in front of a live studio audience.
The show will feature just one "friend" each week, creating a one off double act.
About the concept, Walliams said: "It means the show can reinvent itself week to week. It feels very fresh and never gets boring."
"Hopefully it’ll stand out because there are so few sketch shows these days. We’re trying to be funny in a very uncomplicated way.
"You don’t have to think too much - it’s just meant to be a fun watch."
A pilot of the show aired last Christmas Eve, starring Joanna Lumley and was a big hit.
Although this is a return to his sketch show roots, David was keen to make sure the show was different from Little Britain.
He said: "The big thing for me was to be different from Little Britain. On that show, we didn’t do historical sketches or spoofs.
"Little Britain had a very strong idea of its own identity. I didn’t want Walliams & Friend to be like a spin-off of that.
"I wanted it to be very much its own thing."
When does Walliams and Friend start?
This new series of the show began on Friday November 25 on BBC One at 9.30pm.
It is on Friday nights for the rest of the series.
Six episodes were commissioned, including a Christmas special.

Episode three saw Sheridan Smith transformed into a real-life Barbie doll plus we got to travel back in time to the 1970s to watch the classic politically-correct film, Carry On Up The Sexual Harassment Tribunal.
