'I'M INTOLERANT OF CHILDISH BABBLE'

I’m A Celebrity newbie Danny Baker reveals that ‘toilet humour’ will rile him up

I’M A Celebrity’s Danny Baker has revealed that “toilet humour” will be his main bugbear when he enters the Jungle.

The veteran broadcaster, 59, will be joining the current campmates and will likely cause a bit of mischief in the (currently) serene camp.

Danny Baker has admitted that his biggest bugbear will be toilet humour in the camp

While he admitted that he wants to be the “entertaining” one in camp, he admitted that he won’t be looking forward to other campmates’ crude behaviour.

He said: “I hate it when people talk about going to the toilet. I find it toe-curlingly juvenile. I am pretty intolerant of that childish babble.”

Danny also revealed that he decided to do the show because he is thinking about moving to America and wants to do one final British TV show.

The veteran broadcaster will likely spice up camp life with his arrival

He said: “I have been doing telly now for 40 years, I am 60 next year and I’ve got no ambition

leg to be on telly anymore.

“Next Summer, I am even thinking about living in America. So when this came around, rather than

disappearing quietly, I thought ‘why not do one last big television programme?’ and why wouldn’t

you do this show, it’s great.”

Danny claimed that he doesn’t have any phobias

He also admitted that he thinks he will be “good for morale” but that he hasn’t prepared for being on the show.

Danny said: “It would be foolhardy to think there is something you can do. If you prepare for blue, they will give you red!

“And the shocking thing is I don’t have any phobias! Being buried underground with cockroaches falling over you is not something that crosses your mind or you have experience of! I am just going to let it happen like a hurricane.”

The veteran broadcaster, who is married and has three children, admitted that he hadn’t told his colleagues or friends that he’d be entering the jungle.

“The fun is not telling anyone. I haven’t told anybody, but I don’t know how they are going to react when they realise I am not around. I have got several big projects on and it’s not going to be helpful I am disappearing!”

He admitted that he hasn’t told colleagues or pals about him being in I’m A Celeb

He also revealed that he was very keen about doing a Bushtucker Trial: “That would be the greatest trial of all if you don’t get picked. For the sake of pure boredom, you should embrace them.”

Danny claimed that he is “not going to be competitive” and has “no conceptions or misconceptions to dispel either. People might squint at the television and go ‘oh didn’t he sell soap powder in the 90s?'”.

He added: “If I am the first out, well the upside is I get a flute of champagne”.
