Matthew Webster will be forced to make a horrifying decision as he tracks down former Brigadier Adrian Stone in an attempt to force the truth about his sister Alice's disappearance out of him.
As things become more and more desperate for the Websters, Matthew is pushed into a devastating decision as he confronts Stone in his bed, determined to find out all he knows.
Joined by the twins, Matthew makes a devastating choice that is set to leave the family with 'life-changing consequences' but could he really kill the army man?
The spoiler pictures from tonight's episode of The Missing show Matthew choking the Brigadier, who is suffering from Alzheimer's, as he struggles to learn the truth of what has happened.
Viewers have been left equally confused by the twisting drama as 'Alice' - who may not actually be Alice - had her brother lock her in the garden shed before setting herself alight.
And things only got more disturbing in last week's episode as a major character was killed off in a truly gruesome way.
The intense thriller kicked up to eleven on the show when policeman Jorn Lenhart arrived at the home of Adam Getterick to ask questions about a girl who went missing several years ago.
Claiming to be a family friend, Adam finds himself under suspicion when a little girl appears with a picture for her 'dad' - showing her and her mum in the basement.
Telling the little girl to stay upstairs, the two men come to blows and it is believed that Jorn had unwittingly found the kidnapper of the three missing girls Alice Webster, Sophie Giroux, and a third girl who wore red glasses.
The military press officer pins the cop to the floor, picks up an electric drill that was laying nearby, switch it on an drive it into the poor cop's head.
Fans of the show ran to Twitter to find other people to share their shock with at the unexpected development of the latest episode, with one writing: "he did not just drill that guy to death that is grim #TheMissing"
Another fan stayed topical with their reaction and wrote: "That death by drill scene was more shocking than Trump getting elected"

On his choice of murder weapon, writer Jack Williams told the "To be honest, he’s doing things in the house, he’s there, he’s got stuff knocking around. You always want to do something specific with these kind of things. You want to do something that’s memorable."
He added: "The difference between knocking someone over the head and getting a drill is, one is potentially accidental or in the heat of the moment.
"The other is very intentional. There’s a big lack of humanity there."
