Helen Skelton breaks her silence after ex husband Richie Myler has a baby with another woman 11 months after their split

HELEN Skelton's has broken her silence after her rugby player ex Richie Myler become a father again.

It was revealed today that Richie had welcomed a baby with girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, just 11 months after he split from Helen.

The rugby player's coach Rohan Smith confirmed the Leeds Rhinos star had welcomed a baby with Stephanie - less than a year after his split from Strictly star Helen, 39.

The Rhinos boss said: "Richie has spent a bunch of time in hospital with the birth of his new little baby, so we've given him a little time off to settle in at home."

But putting a brave face on following the news, Helen instead used the opportunity to talk about how much being a mum means to her.

Speaking at the Kinder Masters of Play Festival she said: “Being a mum of three, I know how challenging it can be to keep your kids entertained, particularly during the school holidays."

Richie left Helen, 39, for Stephanie last year and the Countryfile presenter announced their marriage was over in April 2022.

They tied the knot in 2012 and share three kids together.

They announced their split just four months after Helen had given birth to their third child.

“Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple,” Helen wrote on Instagram.

“He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.”

The Sun later revealed in October that her ex-hubby was expecting his fourth child with his new girlfriend after ending the marriage.

A pal said: “They’re thrilled by the pregnancy.

“The timing of the pregnancy may raise a few eyebrows though.

“It is obviously such a huge step, and one made remarkably quickly off the back of Helen and Richie’s eight-year marriage ending.

"But Richie and Helen maintain cordial relations, and in a way the timing is actually perfect as Helen is so happy at the moment."

Stephanie's dad is Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill.

Ex-Blue Peter host Helen was heartbroken after Richie left her when their youngest child was just four months old. 

She joined Strictly last year and was supported by the show through her heartbreak, reaching the final with Spanish pro dancer Gorka Márquez.
