Towie’s Megan McKenna confirms her and Pete Wicks are back together and moving on with their lives after sexting scandal
Megan also recently hit back at claims her relationship is 'fake'
MEGAN McKenna has confirmed she’s back together with Pete Wicks and they are moving forward with their relationship following the sexting scandal.
The Only Way Is Essex insisted the pair are “very happy” after their spa weekend away together, despite being pictured looking less than impressed when they were leaving the resort.
Megan has given Pete another chance after she caught him sending saucy text messages to around 10 other women behind her back.
Speaking to Star magazine, Megan said she fully trusts Pete before adding: “We had a great spa weekend and we’re getting things back on track. We’re really happy.”
The 24-year-old recently hit back at her critics saying no one knows her relationship like she does and said: “People only see a glimpse of our relationship on TV.
“They don’t see the other 99 per cent of it, so they need to stop judging us.
“Everyone rows – ours are just shown on TV.”
The reality star admitted that filming scenes for Towie during her relationship troubles was tough but she’s glad they’re back on track.
She said: “It was so emotional. We were in the press daily, as well as having to deal with it on camera.
“But I’ve had so much support on Twitter, it’s been absolutely amazing and I can’t thank my fans enough. Girl power!”
Megan was also forced to dismiss speculation their relationship is a ‘showmance’ and assured viewers the relationship is “100 per cent real”.
She told the Daily Star on Sunday: “People can call me a mug for giving it another go but we are happy, in love and moving forward…
“People think it’s fake but it’s 100 per cent real..”
Megan also explained that she is learning to trust Pete again after his betrayal but it will be a long process before their relationship is back on track.
She added: “Learning to trust him completely will be a work in progress but I do believe he would never do that again or I wouldn’t have taken him back.”
Megan also insisted she has stopped snooping on his social media accounts.
She added: “Pete wanted me to have access to his Twitter on my phone to make me feel better but I don’t need that reassurance any more.
