I’m A Celebrity’s Scarlett Moffatt hits back at cruel school bullies as she becomes star of the jungle

SCARLETT Moffatt has shown her former bullies that's she's a true star as the Gogglebox favourite shines in the Australian jungle.

The reality show favourite is fast proving to be the one to watch in this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

But sadly, the witty Geordie wasn't always as popular with her peers at school.

Scarlett, 26, said: "I think it was the monobrow, and teeth that could chew an apple through a letterbox.

"I was really ugly, I was really weird and I believed in aliens.

"Even as a kid when I was 11 or 12, I wasn’t like the other kids in the school – I still wore my hair in pigtails. No wonder I got picked on."

Now, it seems as a result of being bullied Scarlett is able to be the straight-talking girl viewers know and love.

She added: "Being bullied made me realise that people will like you or not like you anyway, so you might as well be yourself and say exactly what you think."

Scarlett, who recently lost an amazing three stone in weight, was recently seen on the ITV show overcoming her fear of small confined spaces.

She broke down in tears before she even entered the Tomb Of Torment for the first I’m A Celebrity task.

But it wasn’t long until she had viewers in stitches when she revealed all she wanted was a chicken kebab - while she was being covered in cockroaches, giant meal worms, rats, crickets and spiders.
