Huge music star filming tell-all documentary for Disney+ after shock love split
AVRIL LAVIGNE is making a documentary to revisit the highs and lows of the 21 years since she burst on to the music scene.
I’ve learned the Sk8er Boi singer is making the film for streaming service Disney+ and it will deep dive into how she made it in the industry.
It is being put together by James Corden’s production company Fulwell 73.
The film will also put a magnifying glass to her turbulent love life, which has seen her get married and then divorced from Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger.
She has been filming for the project in recent weeks, which means it could even include the recent breakdown of her engagement to singer Mod Sun and her flourishing new romance with Tyga.
She went public with the rapper at Paris Fashion Week this month.

A source said: “Avril has been hard at work on this in-depth documentary for a while now and the makers have hundreds of hours of footage.
“She talks at length about her life in the film, from how she got her break in music. Some of her showbiz pals will also be in the film talking about her.
"Avril was a teenager when she released her hit debut album so her career has been really interest- ing. There’s a lot to talk about.”
Avril has had seven Top Ten singles including I’m With You, Girlfriend and Complicated and has released seven albums since her 2006 debut Let Go.

The documentary will also cover the two years from 2014 she was bedridden with bacterial infection Lyme disease.
Next month she will kick off her long-delayed European tour, including three sold-out shows in London, her first in the UK since 2011.
Parts of those gigs will be recorded for use in the documentary.
It is yet to get a release date, but it could be out by the end of the year.
With new music also on the way, it’s all go for Avril.
Example's doppelgirl
EXAMPLE has found love five months after announcing his divorce, with a woman who is a dead ringer for his ex-wife.
The Kickstarts singer is dating an art advisor from London called Daisy Cox who has been living with him in Australia.
Weirdly though, his new girl is also close pals with his ex, Aussie model Erin McNaught, who he was married to from 2013 to 2022.
Alongside a photo of himself with Daisy and Erin – pictured from left to right – who are practically indistinguishable, he wrote on Instagram yesterday: “In case anyone is wondering how me and Erin are doing . . . We are still besties.
“This is us at the weekend with my partner.
“We are all just focusing on being positive, respectful adults and ensuring the kids are happy. That’s all that matters.”
Example, who has two sons with his ex, will be flying over to the UK this summer for a series of festival shows, including Chelmsford’s Creamfields South and the Isle of Wight Festival.
He’s also planning a tour here for 2024.
I’m sure having a glamorous younger lady on his arm will make that all the more enjoyable.
NOEL GALLAGHER has revealed a few tracks on his new album Council Skies sound like Oasis.
The High Flying Birds frontman said of the record: “It’s quite reflective but it’s not nostalgic.
"Maybe Easy Now, which sounds quite Oasisy. But the songs have a certain up-and-down mood to them.
“It’s my fourth studio album and it encompasses, I think, everything that I’ve done in the last 13 years.”
Noel added to Mojo mag: “I feel sometimes I’m defending my right to make music that’s not f***ing indie rock and to jump around artistically . . . People want you to rewrite f***ing Don’t Look Back In Anger 14 times on an album.”
DIPLO has revealed he is attracted to both men and women but says he doesn’t want to “define” himself
The DJ said there are men he “could date” but that he’s “not really aroused by men that much.”
He explained: “I don’t want to define that I’m gay but I think the best answer I have is I’m not, not gay.”
Diplo, who has three kids with beauty queen Jevon King and previously dated Katy Perry and M.I.A. went on to say he is “more of a vibe guy”.
Asked by Emily Ratajkowski during a discussion on her High Low podcast whether he was into “vibe over gender,” he added: “Yeah.”
On the bright side, Chrissy
CHRISSY TEIGEN was a ray of sunshine in this dress as she beamed on the red carpet.
She wore the eye-catching frock to a Planned Parenthood benefit gala in New York, where she was riding solo without her singer husband John Legend.
The model has had a busy year after having their daughter Esti two months ago.
But she is finding plenty of time to let her hair down and the bash on Monday was her second night out on the trot.
On Sunday she was on the other side of the US, attending Vanity Fair’s Oscars viewing party in Los Angeles.
She put on a united front with John at the event and had a special trick up her sleeve to pass the time.
Chrissy had brought a pack of Uno cards to the bash and was spotted playing the game with people at her table.
Given tickets to the Vanity Fair after-party cost £20,000, you’d think she would have made the most of it.
Belter of a holiday for Elton
SIR ELTON JOHN’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour was due to last for three years but has stretched out to five.
So I don’t blame the hitmaker for planning his most extravagant holiday ever to celebrate the end of the global run of concerts before finally getting back in the studio.
Elt has revealed he is splashing out on a no-expenses-spared getaway with husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary and Elijah as soon as he wraps up his 329-date tour this summer.
He said: “I finish in July and then I am going to go on a vacation with family for two months, and then I am probably going to think about making a record.
“But I haven’t really thought about who I am going to make it with yet.
“Now that I have stopped touring, I will have more time.”
Elton will bring his mammoth tour back to the UK in a couple of weeks, kicking off with two nights in Liverpool.
The final show, on home soil, will be his headline set on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in June.
Forget the holiday, it will probably be a good scrub he needs after his trip to the notoriously rain-lashed and muddy Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Universal appeal
George Ezra @London’s O2 Arena
FEW pop stars can truly appeal to fans aged eight to 80 - but George Ezra affirmed his universal appeal on Monday with a slick 90 minutes of back-to-back radio hits.
A self-styled “unlikely” pop star, he has kindly guest edited Bizarre in the past so I was well aware of what a terrifically nice bloke he.
But I wasn’t prepared for just how polished and stylish his headlining arena tour is.
A classy band complete with brass section beautifully accompanied the more mellow moments with the understated style of a retro speakeasy, before George raised the roof on singalong bangers including anthemic Shotgun, summer favourite Green Green Grass and early smash Paradise.
Tracks from his latest record, including title song Gold Rush Kid and beautiful ballad Sweetest Human Being Alive, were as well-received by fans as his biggest commercial successes, prompting a 16,000-strong singalong for much of the set.
In between songs charming and easygoing chat intertwined with virtuoso musicianship and smile but striking visuals - including a series of lighting props which helped create an intimate feel in a cavernous venue.
George, now a major festival veteran and firmly established on the arena circuit, has cemented himself as one of our most accomplished singer songwriters without ever losing his down to earth likeability - gently sending himself up at times while simultaneously reminding his audience that he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Sadly a second scheduled sold out show at the same venue last night was postponed at the 11th hour after the singer came down with illness - as organisers announced plans to quickly reschedule the date for disappointed ticket holders.
They can rest assured, he’ll be worth the wait.
Pound em' out, Liam
LIAM PAYNE is set to take his music in a new direction after recording a track with singer Sam Pound.
The duo snuck into a studio in London to lay down vocals for the song.
Letting slip via his Instagram account, Sam shared this photo of him and Liam in the studio alongside the caption: “Finishing Touches”.
A source said: “Liam is really excited about the music he’s been working on. It’s no secret he didn’t really connect with his last album but now feels like he’s finally managed to hone his own.”

He recently enlisted close friend and One Direction’s songwriter Jamie Scott to help with his music comeback.
Jamie co-wrote some of the group’s best hits, including Drag Me Down and Story of My Life, so he’s in good hands.
