AVRIL Lavigne had a complicated moment on-stage when she was forced to confront a topless protestor.
The Sk8er Boi singer, 38, returned to her native Canada for the Juno Awards - the country's equivalent to the UK's Brit Awards, which were held earlier this year.
As Avril arrived on stage dressed in all-black with her blonde hair in its signature poker-straight style, the semi-naked female was in hot pursuit.
She wore pink trousers with a matching bandana and stood with her back to the stage so words, scrawled in black eyeliner, could be seen from the crowd.
They included the phrases "save the Green Belt" and "stop logging old growth now."
Clearly narked at the interruption during the start of her performance, Canada's CBC News reported how Avril said: "Get the [expletive] off," before she is said to have "swatted at her breast."

A security guard then escorted the woman off-stage.
Later in the ceremony, when scooping the TikTok Juno fan choice award, Avril jokingly warned: "Now, nobody try anything this time.
"I'll [mess a woman] up."
Meanwhile, the awards ceremony host praised Avril for "handling that topless lady like a champion."
