Pixie Geldof’s debut album I’m Yours FLOPS and has sold just 197 copies in its first week and didn’t even crack the Top 200
Despite hosting a star-studded album launch party with Strictly star Daisy Lowe, the singer's debut flopped
HER dad has sold millions of records around the world thanks to his successful solo career and his time in THE BOOMTOWN RATS.
But BOB GELDOF’s daughter Pixie clearly hasn’t inherited his knack for making a decent album.
Her debut collection I’m Yours has sold a dismal 197 copies in its first week of release - meaning she hasn’t even managed to crack the Top 200.
She launched the album last week with a huge party attended by her famous dad, along with pals DAISY LOWE, NICK GRIMSHAW and ALEXA CHUNG.
But not even their support has been enough to boost sales, as she has only made £1,600 from the record.
A music industry insider said: “Once you take off the retail cut and then the distributor costs to put a record out, as well as any marketing and promo, she’s definitely making a loss.
“A sum of £1600 can barely even get you someone to promote your music on the radio.
“And that figure doesn’t take into account the money that she ploughed into studio time, song writing sessions or producers.
“She released the album through West Country independent label Stranger Records, but they will hardly be raking in the big bucks either.”
It is no surprise for me that it has flopped as I did a first listen review in June of her solo single So Strong, which was so dreary I nearly nodded off.
The album’s release had already been pushed back from September to November but not even the delay could whip up much interest.
The flop is a real disappointment for the singer, who gave up modelling to pursue her musical ambitions.
She has previously been the face of advertising campaigns for Levi’s, Diesel and Vivienne Westwood but put her career as a model on hold.
Hopefully she can land some quick jobs in front of the camera in the next few weeks so Bob doesn’t end up with just an orange in his stocking at Christmas.
I've Hadid with men
THERE’S no telling if BELLA HADID is upset over her split from THE WEEKND.
She wore huge sunglasses to cover any sign of tears during a stroll in Los Angeles, right.
The couple split after 18 months of dating, blaming the classic “busy schedules”. But the pair are set for an awkward reunion next month in Paris at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show where Bella will be on the runway and The Weeknd will be performing his new music.
Only last month Bella was declaring her love for the singer, real name ABEL TESFAYE, and saying she was “proud” of his music.
Hopefully they can still work together.
Is that a Suk-er, Harry?
HARRY STYLES and model SUKI WATERHOUSE were seen hugging and kissing at a surprise party in LA for MEGHAN TRAINOR’s birthday – seven weeks early – last Friday.
A source said: “They danced together all night and looked really loved up.”
Later on, Harry looked worse for wear as he posed for a pic with Suki, with what looked like a love bite on his neck. They would make quite the British power couple.

Rob's time to take a Bow-ie
IT’S official, ROBBIE WILLIAMS is the UK’s most successful-ever solo artist.
The singer claimed a record 12th solo No1 with new album The Heavy Entertainment Show yesterday, pushing him one ahead of the late DAVID BOWIE.
He’s now just one behind THE BEATLES in his bid to become the ultimate UK album No1 record breaker.
Speaking of his latest triumph, Robbie said: “I’m chuffed and humbled by these amazing statistics and facts.
“I’m as proud of this album as much as any other, and hope that the fans enjoy it as much as I loved making it – this is for the friendlies.”
The feat caps off an amazing week for Robbie, who also bagged the Brits Icon award on Monday. For the occasion he reunited on stage at East London’s Troxy with his old bandmates GARY BARLOW, HOWARD DONALD and MARK OWEN.
He’s come a long way since rolling around in jelly in the band’s Do What U Like video.
He Will keep dancing
WILL YOUNG surprised Strictly Come Dancing bosses when he quit the contest with no official explanation last month.
But the Pop Idol winner clearly hasn’t lost his zest for dancing, given the outfit he wore for his comeback music gig. He turned up at the 606 Club in London on Thursday dressed as a Morris dancer.
Will told the crowd at the intimate set: “I am obsessed with Morris dancers.
“It’s just an obsession of mine. When I go to the Royal Cornwall Show, there are Morris dancers there.
“Whenever I see them I just can’t help but join in with them.”
