Christopher Biggins has returned to TV on GMB to discuss the new series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

Biggins was crowned King of the Jungle back in 2007 and gave his two cents on this year’s contestants.

His comeback comes after he was cleared by TV watchdog Ofcom over biphobic comments he made on Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother.

The 67-year-old was removed from the Channel 5 reality show in August following a number of biphobic and anti-semitic remarks, many of which were cut before broadcast.

However in one exchange that did make it to air, the pantomime star was discussing the LGBT community with fellow housemate Renee Graziano and said: “I think the worst type though, I’m afraid to say, the bisexuals.

“What it is is people not wanting to admit they are gay.”

His comments provoked 44 complaints, but Ofcom has now given its verdict, stating Biggins’ words were “within the audience’s expectations”.

Christopher Biggins said he thinks Scarlett Moffatt and Carol Vorderman will do well on I’m A Celeb

Speaking about the upcoming series of I’m A Celeb, Biggins said he think Carol Vorderman and Scarlett Moffatt will do well in the jungle.

He told GMB hosts Kate Garraway, Ben Shephard and Richard Arnold: “Carol is a pro, she’ll do really well, she’s taken a lot of bikinis with her so she’s well up for it.

“I think Larry Lamb will be very good, I think he’ll be great, great fun.

“The girl to look out for her is Scarlett, she’s lost a lot of weight so she’ll be putting a bikini.”

Kate and Ben quizzed Biggins about his time in the jungle

When asked if he had any tips for the contestants, he said: “You have to be a team player.

“I went in three days late and I could hear Janice Dickinson screaming and she was lovely but she did absolutely nothing.

“And that’s a disaster because we all have to eat. You have to do your bit.”

Biggins also revealed the contestants don’t meet each other before filming starts.

He said: “It’s very clever, you’re all on different flights, you have a minder with you all the time, they eat with you and take your mobile phone off you.

“They put you all in different hotels so it’s quite smart that way.”
