GOOD Morning Britain's Richard Arnold made quite the gaffe today when he was joking about with Christopher Biggins and Nathan Sykes.

The trio were standing in front of an ITV lift as they filmed an intro for their upcoming segments when Richard joked they were having a "coming out party".

Former The Wanted singer Nathan looked shocked while Biggins laughed at Richard's joke.

Speaking to the camera, Richard said: "Yes, all boys together here at GMB as the weekend approaches.

"We're having a coming out party...the single's out, the album's out and we came out of a lift too!"

Nathan, 23, then looked relieved and said: "Yes, we certainly did".

Richard then pointed at the ITV staff waiting in the hallway - some of whom ran away from the cameras, and said: "Biggins thought all these people were waiting for us, but they're waiting to get into the lift."

During his interview with Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway, Nathan - who has previously been linked to Ariana Grande - admitted it was tough going solo after being in the band.

He said: "There's a lot more pressure, before there were five of us putting ideas in and taking the lead on different things and now going solo, I'm doing it all myself."

Speaking about his success, which saw his new song Famous go to number five in the Billboard charts in the US, he said: "It's just amazing, I keep on pinching myself, it's been such a long journey to release this album.

"Famous is my most personal single so far, it's written about someone I was very close to during the band and then when the band took a break they stopped talking to me and I thought 'they'll call me when I'm famous' and low and behold they did but I'm not going to say who it is."

He then denied the song was about his rumoured former flame Ariana saying: "I think it would be cruel of me to write it about Ariana considering she worked on the album with me."

Nathan will perform on The X Factor live shows on Sunday night.
