Angelina Jolie’s ex Billy Bob Thornton admits he never felt ‘good enough’ for her
The actor opened up about his short-lived relationship
ANGELINA Jolie's ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton has opened up about why the pair's passionate romance did not last.
The Hollywood actor claims the couple were on different pages during their short lived relationship as he opened up in a new magazine interview.
Speaking to , Billy explained: "I never felt good enough for her."
The star added that he was always "real uncomfortable around rich and important people" but refuses to change his nature adding: "I like how I am."
The couple met on the set of 1999 film Pushing Tin but didn’t pursue a relationship as Thornton was engaged to actress Laura Dern, while Angelina was reportedly dating actor Timothy Hutton.
The pair got married on May 5, 2000, in Las Vegas, following a two-month romance.
The amorous couple made an array of weird and wonderful public declarations of passion, most famously wearing one another’s blood in vials around their necks.
The pair announced their separation in 2002 – just three months after announcing that they would be adopting a child from Cambodia together.
Billy did reveal that he has been able to stay friendly with his ex Angelina and added that the pair speak every few months in between their busy schedules.
Billy is currently married to long-term partner Connie Angland and the pair are parents to 12-year-old daughter Bella.
Angelina is in the midst of a headline-grabbing divorce from her estranged ex Brad Pitt.
