Lauren Goodger and Calum Best film new series of In Therapy

The reality stars will be bearing all in the next series of the Channel 5 therapy show

CALUM Best and Lauren Goodger will be taking a seat on the psychiatrist’s couch for the next series of In Therapy.

The Channel 5 show has already seen the likes of Kerry Katona, Katie Price and Daniella Westbrook opening up about struggles with addiction, family and mental health issues in the raw and emotional episodes and now Calum, 35, and 30-year-old Lauren will be baring their souls.

“Both of them have had very public battles with their personal problems and this will give people a chance to see the person behind the headlines,” an insider exclusively told The Sun Online.

For Calum the aim of the sessions is to deal with the grief of losing his footballing legend dad George Best to alcoholism eleven years ago.

“Calum went off the rails after his dad passed away and turned into this total party boy,” explains our source.

“There are a lot of unresolved issues for him and he never really faced the pain of dealing with George’s death.

“He’s really hoping the therapy well help him to grieve properly and look at his own relationship with alcohol.”

While Towie star Lauren wants to delve deeper into the emotional relationship she has with food and her body image.

“Lauren faced a lot of ridicule for her weight gain and despite the fact she’s in shape now, her self-esteem is still low and she still feels insecure about the way she looks.”

The show insider adds: “She wants be able to deal with hard times without turning to food and love her body without needing to surgically enhance it.”
