David Walliams poses with his rarely seen son on World Book Day
DAVID Walliams shared a very rare picture with his son to mark World Book Day today.
The 51-year-old is dad to Alfred, nine, with his ex wife, model Lara Stone, and has chosen to keep him out of the limelight.
Today he posted snaps as the lad dressed up as Spaceboy, a character from a book written by David himself.
Alongside the images, the comedian wrote: “Me & my little SPACEBOY for #WORLDBOOKDAY.”
His followers rushed to comment on it, with one saying: “I've never seen you so happy together with your lovely Alf. Such a proud dad. Happy World Book Day.”
A second remarked: “Lucky boy having you for his Dad! Hope he gets to be the first person to read each book! Lovely photos.”

While a third joked: “A proud dad, I wonder if he likes that author.”
David, who split from Lara in 2015, previously spoke about protecting his son’s identity.
He told magazine: “I knew what I was getting into, this is what I signed up to. Making a television programme, being in the spotlight is unavoidable and if you're a kid, it must be quite hard.
“You don't know what they're going to want to do with their lives. They might choose to do something completely private, in which case, there doesn't seem to be any advantage to being in the spotlight.”
