I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here opening night could be a wash out with storms heading straight for camp
Torrential storms are set to hit the camp on Sunday
THIS year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here campmates could be in for a soaking as thunderstorms are set to hit just in time for the first episode.
The hit ITV show starts on November 13 and, according to local weather reports, it’s going to be a washout with non-stop rain with the threat of thunder and lightening.
Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke said: “Thunderstorms are much less likely on Thursday and Friday but come Saturday and into Sunday, thunderstorms become more likely.”
He continued to say there was a “continual threat of storms” due to a band of low pressure.
The forecast on Wednesday predicted a washout with rain forecast nearly all day.
The celebs won’t need their coats however, as it’s expected to reach highs of 30 Degrees Celsius.
It’s not the first time bad weather has threatened to disrupt the show.
In 2011 it was predicted that there would be a “rapid increase” in storms – and regular downpours left camp mates including Mark Wright and and Fatima Whitbread struggling to keep dry.
Jordan Banjo, Wayne Bridge, Joel Dommett, Ola Jordan, Larry Lamb, Scarlett Moffatt, Sam Quek, Lisa Snowdon, Adam Thomas and Carol Vorderman have now touched down in Australia for the start of the show.
Homes Under the Hammer host Martin Roberts and broadcasting legend Danny Baker, who The Sun Online exclusively revealed would be joining them at Snake Rock and Croc Creek, have yet to land down under but are expected any day.
The group are already wracked with nerves, with Ola saying: “I don’t know how I will cope.”
Others are taking the show in their stride, with Gogglebox’s Scarlett saying: “Eating testicles?
“I’ve been preparing by eating really chewy Scotch eggs and pretending they’re kangaroo balls.
“It will be weird seeing what the others on Gogglebox think about me.”
Ant and Dec have already landed in the jungle with their wives Lisa Armstrong and Ali Astall.
