Phillip Schofield slammed for ‘mocking’ black female Trump supporters on This Morning
The presenter was caught on camera shaking his head and shoulders at Southern American duo Diamond and Silk
THIS MORNING host Phillip Schofield has been slammed for "mocking" black female Trump supporters on the show.
Viewers weren't impressed by the presenter's reaction to Diamond and Silk, two straight-talking Southern American long-time supporters of the new American president.
The moment came when Phil, 54, shook his head and shoulders as the ladies spoke.
One said: "Phil was mocking the ladies there, really disrespectful and bordering on racist #thismorning".
Another added: "Not sure about @Schofe's racist reaction with the head move. Not acceptable. @Ofcom @ITV @thismorning #thismorning".
A viewer also tweeted: "@Schofe @ITV backing up his unbiased coverage of Trumps 'racist' campaign with a spot of casual racism. #racist #itv #thismorning"
When discussing the election result with the pair, Phil said: "You’re both very bright, very intelligent women – you mention the trillion dollars of debt," before going on to mention a long list of things Trump said he would do.
"How is he going to pay for that - you're already millions of pounds in debt?"
To which one of the women replied: "Waste, fraud and abuse will be stopped in the government honey, and once you stop that, that’s billions of dollars that can be reinvested back into America."
And as she spoke, Phil moved his head and shoulders to her words.
Other fans of the show found nothing sinister in Phil's gesture.
One tweeted: "Oh ffs! He wasn't being racist. @Schofe #ThisMorning People really need to STFU. Trump's the f**ing racist!"
While another added: "How is moving your head from side to side racist?
"Not at all, he was mocking her it had nothing to do with race at all."
"@Schofe watching you on this morning talking to the two ladies about Trump! Pissing myself laughing at you dancing!!! "C'monnn honey," said one.

After the show, Phil tweeted Diamond and Silk and said: "So brilliant to have you on the show today @DiamondandSilk .. loved you on #EducatingJoey too. We need some sass in British politics".
