Dawn French reveals she’s ‘up for’ taking magic mushrooms and wishes she’d taken more narcotics when she was younger
Dawn said she plans to take lots of drugs when she's older
DAWN French has revealed she regrets not doing drugs when she was younger and says she's 'up for' doing mushrooms.
The 59-year-old comedian said she avoided narcotics after rising to fame in the 80s.
Speaking about the early days of her career, she said: "Back then I did no drugs whatsoever, which I regret massively, and I am intending to do loads of drugs when I’m much older.
"Some hot drugs coursing through your veins would add to the fun of being old.
"There are [magic mushrooms in Cornwall] but I’ve never looked for them…Magic mushrooms sound good, I’m up for that."
Speaking on Richard Herrings's podcast, she jokingly added: "It’d be cheaper for a start. A feeble old body and a bit of crack cocaine go together really quite well."
Dawn, who is mum to daughter Billie with her ex-husband Sir Lenny Henry, has had a number of health scares in recent years and has lost an incredible seven and a half stone.
She decided to drop the pounds when doctors thought she had uterine cancer.
