Tom Grennan slammed by Brit Awards viewers for quizzing Ellie Goulding about her boobs

TOM Grennan and Ellie Goulding have broken their silence after Brit Award fans slammed him for commenting on Ellie Goulding's boobs on stage.

The Not Over Yet singer, 27, joined the Starry Eyed pop star, 36, to present the Best New Artist award on Saturday night.

Ellie – who wore a black armoured corset that featured a moulded pair of breasts – appeared stunned when Tom commented on her chest.

He said: "I love what you’re doing – they’re your real boobs?"

The Little Bit Of Love songstress was apparently taken aback and replied: "These are not mine, I wish, mine are a lot further apart."

Speaking about the awkward moment afterwards, Ellie said on Twitter: "A word on Brit/ tit gate … I was wearing a beautiful breastplate, thank you all for appreciating it ;)

"My friend @Tom_Grennan is 100% an ally and we were having a bit of fun. No offence taken, no harm intended- and no other interpretations necessary x"

Tom shared her post and added: "Love ya @elliegoulding
What started as a joke between Ellie and I before we went on stage came out all wrong.

"The nerves got the better of us, but that does not excuse what was said, and I sincerely apologise to anyone who was offended - that’s not me at all, and I am sorry x"

Ellie looked sensational in an all-black ensemble that consisted of a wet-look top that detailed the outline of a female’s bust. 

Viewers were horrified by Tom's comment and raced to Twitter to slam him for being "inappropriate".

One annoyed fan wrote: "Did Tom Grennan actually ask Ellie Goulding about her tits on TV? Really? What year are we in?"

A second agreed and added: "Tom Grennan really thought it was cool to chat about Ellie Goulding’s boobs? Nah, I thought we were past this."

"Totally insulting inappropriate comments Tom Grennan," a third said.

"Tom Grennan asking Ellie Goulding if they were her real boobs while presenting an award was super weird, uncomfortable and creepy. WTF?!" said a shocked viewer.

Someone else added: "Tom Grennan thinking it was appropriate to ask Ellie Goulding if they were her real boobs, on the Brits stage, just gave me the quickest ick in a while. Like instantaneous sick in my mouth."

Luckily Ellie took the remark in good humour and the pair laughed it off, before presenting the award to rock band Wet Leg.
