Brit Awards 2023 latest — Harry Styles takes four top gongs as fans poke fun at Sam Smith’s ‘attention seeking’ outfit
BRITS fans were stunned as host Mo Gilligan got a major star's name mixed up during Saturday's show - while Harry Styles cleaned up with FOUR major awards.
Comedian introduced onto the stage during the ceremony as Sam - leaving fans outraged.
Meanwhile,, David Guetta, Aitch and scooped major gongs on the night - with Harry Styles winning Best Album, Best Song, Best Artist and Best Pop/R'n'B Act.
While accepting the gong for best artist, he said: "I want to thank my family for being the most supportive, understanding, patient, loving family I could have ever asked for. I want to thank my mum for signing me up for The X Factor without telling me, so I literally wouldn't be here without you."
It comes as Brit Awards viewers have poked fun at Sam Smith's outfit on social media with one saying: "It's attention seeking and nothing else," whilst others compared it to Billy Connolly's incontinence pants sketch.

Artist of the year controversy
This year’s Brit Awards — the most glittering night of the UK’s music calendar — had been mired in controversy after the Artist of the Year category was dominated by male acts.
The Best Male and Best Female awards were scrapped in 2021 in a bid to include non-binary artists.
That decision paved the way for a male-dominated winners list this year — with just six of the 15 awards collected by female artists.

Tom Grennan slammed by Brit Awards viewers
Ellie Goulding – who wore a black armoured corset that featured a moulded pair of breasts – was left stunned when Tom commented on her chest.
He looked down at her outfit and said: "I love what you’re doing – they’re your real boobs?"
The Little Bit Of Love songstress was taken aback and replied: "These are not mine, I wish, mine are a lot further apart."
Viewers were horrified by Tom's comment and raced to Twitter to slam him for being "inappropriate".

After Lewis' performance, Mo told viewers: "I have to apologise, I did call him Sam. It just goes to show how strong the drinks are at the brit awards, they are not playing around."

Sam Smith was left furious last night after their performance was almost axed following a technical glitch.
Insiders revealed how Sam, 30, grew increasingly upset backstage at London’s O2 Arena when their £500,000 set malfunctioned — causing a delay.
A source said: “Sam’s performance might have appeared seamless but behind-the-scenes it was a nightmare.
“The whole set was built and ready to go but then a malfunction meant it had to be pulled off.
“Stormzy was moved forward and Sam was told there was a possibility their performance might be pulled altogether.
“Sam was understandably furious and it was pretty tense backstage.”
Lewis Capaldi snogs secret girlfriend at Brit Awards after-party
Lewis Capaldi was spotted with actress Ellie MacDowell, at the Universal Music after-party in London last night.
And the Forget Me singer made it clear he was head-over-heels with gorgeous Ellie, who he met last year.
An onlooker at the bash, at 180 The Strand, said: “It’s official, Lewis is in love and he couldn’t be happier.
"He has been dating Ellie for some time now and while they are usually very low key, he couldn’t keep his hands off her at the after-party.
"It was very sweet to see him so happy, and Ellie clearly adores him too.
“They sat on the sofa kissing and talking for a while before Lewis headed off to the dance floor.
“He was throwing some serious shapes to Hot Chocolate’s You Sexy Thing at one point while Ellie just looked on smiling. They make a lovely couple.”

The menu for the ceremony was revealed with guests being treated to a ‘woodland forage’ for their starter which features truffle mousse, chestnut puree, mushroom hay, pickled oyster mushrooms, and artichoke bark.
