Greg Rutherford’s girlfriend shares hilarious dancing clip of the Olympian before he was put through his paces on Strictly Come Dancing
GREG Rutherford’s other half celebrated her Olympian’s victory in another round of Strictly Come Dancing – by showing off a video of his moves before he started the show.
Susie Verrill posted the home video of Greg prancing in his garden on Twitter with the caption: “THIS is what @RealNatalieLowe was working with 8 weeks ago. I mean, So glad he’s through to another show, he’s learned so much #scd”
She then added: “Of course, @GregJRutherford asked me not to share the video in my previous tweet & I promptly ignored him.”
Fans were delighted with the hilarious clip, and wrote to Susie and Natalie for “working wonders” on the long jump medallist.
One wrote: “Dear god….she’s a verified magician. But ace job on getting through to Blackpool. Now can he start the rolling in fake tan and glitter!!”
Another compared his moves to “a mix between taking a penalty, playing netball & epic shoulders” before adding “like nothing I’ve ever seen!”
A third person added: “not gonna lie Susie, this made my night! Proper guffaw-ing! Greg has improved sooooo much”
After being put through his paces by professional dancer Natalie Lowe, Greg is now hot in the running to take the glitterball trophy – earning 32 points for his Vienesse Waltz.
Greg found out on Sunday he was safe for another week – while Laura Whitmore was given the chop after a dance-off with Ore Oduba.
Thanking his fans for their support, he tweeted: “Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me & @RealNatalieLowe. We appreciate it so much. I love this show and don’t want it to end #SCD”
While Greg and Natalie have gotten close, Susie has previously admitted that she’s scared of the Strictly curse striking – just not in the way everyone thinks!
After his performance in the first week, cheeky Susie wrote: “After last night, I’m now concerned about the Strictly curse. Concerned in the way that I fancy @RealNatalieLowe more than @GregJRutherford.”
Greg has also admitted that there are close bonds forming – and he has struck up a ‘bromance’ with fellow competitor Judge Robert Rinder.
The 29-year-old gold medallist revealed: “The only Strictly curse that has been happening is the romance between me and Rob [Judge Rinder]. There’s a lot of male love going on.”
