Speaking about becoming a mother, Leona told the publication: "It’s one of the most rewarding yet challenging roles in life.
"I am in awe of us as women, of all the mothers out there – and myself included.
"I’m proud of where women are at today, carving out careers for themselves in music.
"But I feel like behind the scenes, it’s still very unfair, and there’s not a level playing field."
The former X Factor winner shared the news she had given birth on Instagram in August 2022.
Along with a cute snap she wrote: "And then there were three. Our little Carmel Allegra arrived 22.7.22."
Her husband Dennis Jauch, who is a German-born creative director, shared the same picture and message on his Instagram account.
Leona announced her pregnancy on Instagram in March by sharing a photo of her in a black bodycon dress showing off her baby bump.
Leona has been married to producer and choreographer Dennis Jauch since 2019.
