Ant McPartlin and ex wife Lisa Armstrong in bitter new custody battle over beloved dog after £31million divorce
ANT McPartlin is locked in a bitter new battle with his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong over their dog.
The pair previously adopted the chocolate Labrador named Hurley whilst they were struggling to conceive a child.
The TV presenter, 47, looked in good spirits as he played fetch in a park in London today despite the news that his ex-wife is trying to take the pooch full-time.
Despite having multiple Maltipoos with his new wife, named Milo and Bumble, he’s reportedly refusing to give up shared custody of their labrador.
A source told the : “Lisa has asked to have Hurley but Ant is saying no.
“He has two more dogs now, a new wife and two stepdaughters, but still he wants joint custody.
“It has led to some difficult conversations between Ant and Lisa. It’s all very sad.
“Ant has been able to move on, get remarried and get two more dogs. Lisa has been left to pick up the pieces.”
The formerly married pair initially agreed to share the dog after the breakdown of their marriage in 2018.
However Lisa, 46, is now disputing the arrangement with the Saturday Night Takeaway as she wants the Labrador to live with her full-time.
The disputed canine currently spends half of the time living in Lisa’s West London home, whilst Ant’s driver transfers the dog to his £6 Million mansion in Wimbledon.
Ant was previously married to the make-up artist for 11 years before announcing their divorce in 2018.
Ant is now married to his former personal assistant Anne-Marie.
They got married in Hampshire for what was an intimate ceremony in August of 2021.
The pair first met in the mid 90’s at a concert where Ant and Dec were performing as PJ & Duncan.
After marrying in 2006, the couple adopted Hurley in 2013 when they struggled to concieve a child.
The dog was a sore point for the I’m A Celebrity presenter during his £31 Million divorce with Lisa.
In an interview at the time he explained: “There’s a loyalty and a love and a companionship with Hurley that you can’t describe. We still share quite evenly. Hurley’s welfare comes first and we both love him very much.”
