Robbie Williams suffers new blow in battle to build pool & gym at £17m mansion amid row with famous neighbour

ROBBIE Williams has hit yet another snag in his battle to build an underground pool and gym at his £17.5million mansion.

The ex-Take That star has been planning his fitness suite and tunnel for almost six years — with neighbour and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page opposing him.

Kensington and Chelsea council planners initially passed Robbie’s plans, but now he has been told that he must apply for the deeds of his house to be legally changed to allow the work.

And that could open up a fresh challenge from Jimmy to stop Robbie, 48, getting the go-ahead.

Page, 79, says vibrations from the work could damage ancient paintings and frescoes in his Grade I listed West London home, where he has lived since 1972.

Robbie also previously applied to the local council to build a trellis fence, which is approximately the size of a two-storey building, around his £17m property.

But he’s now withdrawn that planning application after an anonymous member of the public sent a letter of “support”, which took the mickey out of Robbie.

It said: “I wholeheartedly support Robbie Williams right to have a fence around his home.

“An Englishman’s home is his castle and he should be afforded his right. The general public would perhaps benefit from the fence being higher and constructed to a sound-proofed standard!"

Robbie had applied for the fence to be built as he was also concerned that fans can peer into his place and asked for the trellis to surround his luxury pad.
