Professor Green blasts X Factor’s Honey G for not being ‘credible’ artist on Sunday Brunch

PROFESSOR Green is NOT Honey G’s biggest fan.
The Read All About It hitmaker has now blasted The X Factor wannabe rapper for not being a “credible” artist.
Green, 32, appeared on Sunday Brunch and told host Tim Lovejoy: “I just don’t think she’s a very credible representation.
“It’s a bit like Sonia Jackson doing something for Children In Need – do you know what I mean? It’s a joke.
“It is an entertainment show, but at the heart of it is music.”
Explaining his thoughts, he went on: “At the heart of rap, it’s meant to be your story, you tell your own story, you write your own lyrics.
“And all she’s done thus far – which is the point of the show – is cover other people’s songs.”
One Sunday Brunch viewer tweeted: “Professor Green speaking the truth #HoneyG is not credible and a joke #XFactor2016 @SundayBrunchC4”
While another added: “well said @professorgreen the waste of telly on honey g #SundayBrunch”
But the musician, who was previously married to Chelsea girl Millie Mackintosh, added: “I didn’t have an issue with her (Honey G), I was just asked what I thought of her music. It’s not her as a person, I don’t know her at all.”
Honey G, real name Anna Guildford, took to the stage during Saturday’s show to perform a version of Kris Kross’ 1992 hit song Jump.
Her rendition won her a standing ovation from the judges and the audience, but some viewers took to Twitter to accuse her of rapping the N-word.
One wrote: “Did I hear Honey G say the N word tonight?” while another added: “My jaw actually just dropped with shock when Honey G dropped the N word, unacceptable.”
But an ITV spokesperson later said: “Honey G did not use any offensive language. She sang the correct lyrics and said “kicking the flavor that makes you wanna jump.”
