OH NO SHE DIDN’T!

The X Factor’s Honey G in race row after being accused of rapping the N-word during her performance

But an ITV spokesman confirmed to the Sun Online that she didn't actually utter the offensive word

THE X Factor’s Honey G has been caught up in a race row tonight after viewers accused her of rapping the N-word during her performance.
The rapper took to the stage to perform a version of Kris Kross’s 1992 hit song Jump, which won her a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.

Her odds of making the final were slashed making her the third favourite to win and the praise and love came in thick and fast on Twitter.
But it soon turned sour as some accused her of dropping the racially-offensive word into her performance.

One wrote, “Did I hear Honey G say the N word tonight?” while another added: “My jaw actually just dropped with shock when Honey G dropped the N word, unacceptable.”
One was so outraged they tweeted in capital letters: “HONEY G IS RACIST! SHE SAID THE N WORD IN HER PERFORMANCE TONIGHT... GET HER OFF THE SHOW! RACIST!”

And another added: “I don't care who you think you are or what platform you're on. Using the N word is unacceptable. Don't feel safe @The_Honey_G.”
However, The Sun Online has listened to her rap and she didn’t say the n-word – what she actually rapped was the lyric to the song which says: “'Cause I'll be kicking the flavour that makes you wanna jump.”

And an ITV spokesperson told us: “Honey G did not use any offensive language. She sang the correct lyrics and said "kicking the flavor that makes you wanna jump.”
And those who had listened closely to her performance soon defended her on Twitter and tried to set the record straight.

One wrote: “@The_Honey_G did not say n word re wind and listen she said kicking the flavour that wanna make u jump #honeyforthefinal.”
And another jumped to her defence and said: “Honey G didn't use the N word! Watch it back whilst reading the lyrics, its "kicking the flavour" that sounded like it.”
