X FACTOR star Honey G has revealed her strict fitness regime as she prepares for the London marathon.
Honey G was one of The X Factor’s sensations and fast became the series’ most memorable “novelty” act back in 2016.
And nowadays, alongside her singing, she has thrown herself in a life of fitness, having completed four triathlons and a 20 mile run recently.
The star has slimmed down dramatically in recent months, explaining in 2021 that she'd lost nearly two stone in lockdown.
The 41-year-old star sticks to a structured routine that sees her running all the time, in a bid to get herself ready for her fitness challenges.
In an exclusive chat while looking stylish on the Rise of the Footsoldier red carpet on Tuesday night, she said: “I have a strict routine and you have to be really disciplined.

"Especially with the marathon training. I’m following a strict training plan, and you have to do a long run so I’m running two or three times a week.
“I did a 20 mile race in October and I was absolutely cream-crackered after that and literally couldn’t even walk. But now everything is looking good and my training is going very well.”
The star has no time in mind to complete the marathon in, and says she’s more excited to run it on behalf of a mental health charity which “means a lot to her.”
She continued: “I’m training a lot actually. I’m running it with a mental health foundation so doing a lot of training at the moment. I’ve done four triathlons too.

“I might do more triathlons. Obviously April and May is when the triathlon season is going to start so maybe there’ll be a couple more triathlons in me this year.
“I’m balancing my fitness with my music, and I’m doing a lot of running in the evenings and then I’m in the studio during the day, so there’s loads going on.”
Honey finished fifth on 2016's X Factor and was signed by Simon Cowell's label Syco. However, she got the chop when her debut The Honey G Show flopped.
And Honey’s fitness journey hasn’t deterred her from her music, and she said she’s in the studio everyday writing.
“I’m hoping to release something that I think is going to do well and I’m exploring my singing side too. You’ve seen me rapping a lot but I’m singing too, so it’s a bit of both,” the star added.
Honey told The Sun in 2019: "Music is my love and passion, and my ambitions are about being a worldwide music artist.
"I do believe I belong on stage."
Honey G attended the launch + screening for Rise of the Footsoldier: The Extreme Edition. In cinemas and on digital platforms from 6th February.
