Strictly star Ola Jordan steps up to upstage Myleene Klass, Helen Flanagan and Vicky Pattison as she signs up for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here
FORMER Strictly professional dancer Ola Jordan has signed up for I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!, The Sun can reveal.
ITV bosses made the Polish star their No1 target to add glamour and beauty to the jungle and its shower.
The signing comes a year after Ola, 34, quit BBC’s Strictly after ten years, claiming it was fixed.
Husband James Jordan, 38, was also a professional on the show for eight years before he left in 2013.
A source said: “Ola is a no-brainer of a signing. She’s well-known, gorgeous and has strong opinions.
“Add difficult challenges and starvation to those qualities and she’s sure to make great telly.
“Having a very vocal husband is an added bonus in the deal. James is not afraid to air his opinions and will make a great guest on the spin-off show while Ola is in camp.”
The source said bosses hope Ola will be a “focal figure” in this series and will not be slow to hop in the shower, just like Helen Flanagan in 2012, Myleene Klass in 2006 and Vicky Pattison, who won last year.
She is one of the last contestants named and her signing comes nine months after she was injured on Channel 4’s The Jump, sparking fears she may never walk again.
She damaged ligaments in a knee and hip training on a dry ski slope.
Others joining 2009 Strictly winner Ola in the jungle are ex-Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 55, radio DJ Danny Baker, 59, and model Lisa Snowdon, 44.
Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, 25, is the bookies’ favourite. The show starts a week on Sunday at 9pm.
